Hey Everyone,

Halloween is slowly approaching and since I've been re-watching the vampire diaries lately, I thought that there was no better time than to create an inspired makeup look from the show. Let's see how I re-created this fun, yet simple, Halloween look!

This was a really fun makeup look to recreate and the main focus is of course on the purple/red veins under the eyes.

1 - I first applied a very light peach toned shadow all over the eyelid and blended it out lightly to the brow bone.

2 - I then applied a very deep purple toned shadow, focusing it in the socket to add some depth. I then blended it out to make it not look so harsh.

3 - Next, I took a brown toned shadow and blended it into the purple. Finally, for the shadows I took a black shade and applied it all over the eyelid and blended it together with the other shades and took a little under the eyes.

4 / 5 - I then lined my eyes with some black gel liner and applied a light coat of mascara to my bottom and top lashes.  Moving onto the veins I first took a purple and brown eye shadow and mixed them together. I blended the colour down to the cheekbones and slowly faded away the edges to make it not look so harsh. This helped add some depth and death to the look before the veins.

6 - For the veins, I took a very small liner brush and a deep red shade and drew lots of squiggly lines under the eyes replicating capillaries and veins. Finally, I took a black eye shadow and shaded in the veins to add some depth and added some setting powder on top to make it look a little more natural.

At the end I added some dark red lipstick and blended it out and contoured my face to give it more depth. I really had fun creating this makeup look and do let me know if you try it out!

Are you trying out a Halloween look this year? What will it be?
